Feast Day of Saint Joseph

Happy Feast Day of Saint Joseph, foster father of Jesus. Saint Joseph was a great dad, hand picked by Jesus to teach, protect, guide and provide.
When he found Mary pregnant by the Holy Spirit, he was afraid and planned to leave. The Lord sent an angel in a dream to tell him he was exactly the right man for the job. Through the intercession of Saint Joseph, may we have the courage to do what the Lord means for us. He brought Mary to Bethlehem and sought tirelessly for the perfect place for his pregnant bride to rest. Through the intercession of Saint Joseph, may we provide well for our families. In another dream, the Lord told him Herod was planning to kill the baby Jesus. And he immediately led his family to safety. Through the intercession of Saint Joseph, may we be defenders of those in need. While Jesus was still an infant, Joseph brought Jesus to the Temple to be consecrated to God. Through the intercession of Saint Joseph, may we lead our children to the Heavenly Father and instruct them well in faith. In that presentation, Saint Joseph could only offer two turtledoves in his poverty. Through the intercession of Saint Joseph, may we be cheerful even when we don’t have as much as we want because God knows what we need.
When Jesus was 12, He stayed behind in the Temple and Joseph spent three days in agonizing search of him. Through the intercession of Saint Joseph, may all be found who are lost (especially if that lost one is you or me). And, having no quotes in the Bible, he appears to have been a strong silent man. Through intercession of Saint Joseph, may we know when to speak and when not to speak. Saint Joseph, carpenter, husband and father, pray for us!
