Today is either day 3 or day 4 of the consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, depending on whether you intended to end on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. I’m posting this on my blog site. I saw that posting on my personal Facebook account was causing many friends of my friends to want to be tagged or share that post to their friends. My Facebook account is private because I share things about my kids. I would prefer to have my blog account shared over my personal Facebook page. I will tag my Facebook friends when I post the blog on Facebook. You are also free to subscribe to this blog account, which will send you an email when I post. Anyone is free to share this page. I’m very grateful so many people want to be consecrated to Holy Mother. For the purposes of Jesus’ incarnation, God made a perfect woman to fill the role of Mother. As Saint Louis de Montfort says, Jesus entered into humanity through her, so He wants humanity to come to Him through her. Today we celebrate the Solemnity of Christ the King. Mary is the perfect woman. But even though she’s crowned, she bows to Jesus, her King. Her sole aim for us is to do the same. We read in today’s first reading that the Son of Man was presented at His Father’s throne to receive “dominion, splendor, and kingship (Daniel 7:14).” Mary cheers her son and declares with us, “The LORD is king (Psalm 93:1)!” May every place of our bodies, minds and spirits declare Jesus King. May our families declare Jesus King. It is my fervent wish that our nation would know Jesus as King. May the Church declare Jesus King. Our God declares, “I am the Lord, there is no other (Isaiah 45:5).” Amen. Amen. May we bow to no other. Mary, lead us to your Son. A Solemn Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Most Holy Virgin Mary, tender Mother of men, to fulfill the desires of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the request of the Vicar of Your Son on earth, we consecrate ourselves and our families to your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, O Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, and we recommend to You, all the people of our country and all the world. Please accept our consecration, dearest Mother, and use us as You wish to accomplish Your designs in the world. O Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, and Queen of the World, rule over us, together with the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, Our King. Save us from the spreading flood of modern paganism; kindle in our hearts and homes the love of purity, the practice of a virtuous life, an ardent zeal for souls, and a desire to pray the Rosary more faithfully. We come with confidence to You, O Throne of Grace and Mother of Fair Love. Inflame us with the same Divine Fire which has inflamed Your own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Make our hearts and homes Your shrine, and through us, make the Heart of Jesus, together with your rule, triumph in every heart and home. Amen. --Venerable Pope Pius XII
